WHAT IS SECURITY MINISTRY?
Gone are the days when churches could leave their doors open. In fact, there have been many reports in the news today where churches are actually targeted for violence and destruction. In response, St. Louis Protection has developed a training class where we teach selected members of a congregation how to serve as their church's security and doorkeepers. These unique individuals make up the SECURITY MINISTRY.
Could the terrible tragedy in the S. Carolina church been avoided had there been a SECURITY MINISTRY in place? Quite possibly. Members of the Security Ministry are trained in what to look for in unusual behavior, how to approach and handle someone who might be suspicious and what measures to take in the event of an active shooter event.
